WKKC Nationals – Team Absolute
What a huge weekend for Team Absolute up in Doncaster at the WKKC Nationals. We had 18 competitors representing Absolute Martial Arts across our Surrey locations — Redhill, Ewell, Carshalton, Caterham, and North Cheam — and the event certainly did not disappoint.
The venue was fantastic and, as always, the competition was superbly organised. The day began with an incredible moment as Craig and Rachel were awarded their 3rd Dan Black Belts by WKKC England President and martial arts legend Joe Tierney. A truly special honour and a proud milestone for Absolute Martial Arts.
From there, the fighting began, with our team aiming to secure national titles and qualify for this year’s World Championships in Spain.
As always, the day brought highs, lows, and plenty of emotion. Some results went our way, others didn’t — but what stood out most was the unwavering support shown between teammates. Every competitor stepped onto the mats and gave their absolute best.
The divisions were stacked with talent, and we are immensely proud of every student who had the courage to compete.

A special congratulations to Caitlin, who captured the Women’s Overall Grand Champion Title — an outstanding achievement at national level.
Huge credit also goes to Deen and Zak, who fought their way to an open-weight final. In a fantastic display of respect and sportsmanship, they chose not to fight, with Zak taking gold — a brilliant moment reflecting the values we stand for at Absolute Martial Arts.
Not everyone came away with the results they hoped for, but setbacks are part of the journey. We have complete belief in this team. With continued discipline, resilience, and self-belief, breakthroughs will follow.
What truly defines Absolute Martial Arts is mindset. Even after difficult bouts, our fighters stood proudly behind their teammates — something we see consistently across all our classes in Redhill, Ewell, Carshalton, Caterham, and North Cheam.
We’re incredibly proud to announce that 15 Absolute team members have qualified for the World Championships in Spain. The journey continues, and the hard work starts now.
Thank you to our students, families, and coaching team for the relentless support.
